Nathalie Stutzmann imagined an "ideal" cantata from the most beautiful pages composed by Jean-Sébastien Bach: sung tunes of course, but also instrumental and even choral pieces.
Among Bach's immense and magnificent repertoire, Nathalie Stutzmann wanted to "pick a bouquet of the most beautiful flowers". Airs of bravery or tenderness, anger, love, fear or despair, all expressive registers meet in Nathalie Stutzmann's "Imaginary Cantata", which gives birth to a new work, a disc constructed from one breath and in one piece.
Patrick performs among others the piccolo cello solo in the aria Jesus ist ein guter Hirt.

Nathalie Stutzmann a imaginé une cantate « idéale » à partir des plus belles pages composées par Jean-Sébastien Bach : des airs chantés bien sûr, mais aussi des pièces instrumentales et même chorales.
Parmi le répertoire immense et magnifique de Bach, Nathalie Stutzmann a voulu « cueillir un bouquet des plus belles fleurs ». Airs de bravoure ou de tendresse, de colère, d’amour, de peur ou de désespoir, tous les registres expressifs se rencontrent dans la Cantate imaginaire de Nathalie Stutzmann, qui donne naissance à une œuvre nouvelle, un disque construit d’un seul souffle et d’un seul tenant.
Patrick y interprète entre autres le solo de violoncelle piccolo dans l'aria Jesus ist ein guter Hirt.
